Day 9

Today I waited until the evening to do my workout. I couldn't sleep last night so I got up and did some business work stuff. I was up until midnight which isn't that late but I normally go to bed by 10 and I need my full 8 hours.

Even though I'm definitely not a morning person...I like to get it over with in the morning. It was hard to find the motivation to do it this afternoon. We also got snowed out at work and was home early but didn't do Cardio until 5:30pm. Cardio X went smooth and I was starting to think my body had rebounded. However, it is only a couple of short hours later and my back is already starting to tighten up.

Day 9 is in the books!

Day 8

Today was the start of week 2. I was doggie this morning for some reason. I got new shoes yesterday so I kinda thought I would be more motivated but it didn't help. Core synergistic really works my shoulders to the point I'm not getting that much work on my abs.
Tomorrow is cardio X and i need to really push myself.

Day 7

I forgot to post yesterday! Oh well, I did Kenpo and it loosened me up pretty good. The only think hurting this morning is my obliques and lower back. Though I did start wearing my orthotics. Dr. Cheri told me I would be sore from them but to be honest...I'm not sure if it is from them or the X? Either way, today is the least sore I've been since I started.

Also, today is stretch/rest day. We are fully planning on stretching though as it feels so good when we are done and we still get to have recovery drink.

Yeah!

Day 5

What a day! I feel a lot better and I can move my butt and legs without pain. Yoga really stretched me out and I can feel it in my abs this morning. Legs and Back/Abs was today. I fully believe that this workout is much more intense than Plyo. I struggle after the single wall squats to breathe. I also made my bands heavier this go around. Oh I finally was able to do one real pull-up yesterday. I can't believe i forgot to tell you. Finally!

Ab ripper: I did 20 for each move. It's definitely not my favorite but I was just trying to hold on at that point. I kept visualizing my recovery drink. Also, we are taking the kids to the WaterPark of America (near mall of america) in February so I really want to be in bikini shape.

I don't think the leftover cheesecake helped tonight though. We are out of christmas food so it is back to clean eating tomorrow morning and Kenpo!

Day 4

Merry Christmas! and yes...I still did Yoga X...though I only did the first 45 minutes. My body does not hurt near as much as it has the past few days and I actually slept through most of the night. Yoga still kicked my butt though. My muscles were shaking like crazy and I couldn't quite hold Warrior 3 for very long.

I'm looking forward to Legs and Back tomorrow and Abs. My stomach was pretty flat today though the homemade cheesecake I made today probably won't help much. It was worth it though. Also, I only had one glass of wine. Overall food intake wasn't horrible for a christmas day!

Day 3

I managed to drag myself out of bed this morning at 6:30am. I'm not sure how. My husband got to get me up this morning and woke me up with the same if not more sadistic glee that I showed him yesterday.

Last night he was nice enough to give me a rub down to ease my screaming muscles. Though I know he meant well, it was one of the more painful experiences of my life. He says he was barely touching my skin, but I was so swollen it felt like needles. You know it's not good when it physically hurts to sit on the bed.

That aside...I feel much better today. I did Shoulders and Arms and even managed to do most of the Ab routine. I didn't do it all...depending which ones required my to rock my bum on the floor. I was extremely thankful that no leg work was required.

Even though I've complained alot...this morning was the first morning that I really felt a good difference in my body. My stomach was flatter and I felt leaner throughout. I still walk funny but it's getting better :)

Day 2

Wow! I wish I could say that I feel great. But I don't. It physically hurts to sit down on anything. I kept waking up last night because it hurt to turn over. I'm talking about the bum. For some reason, I can feel each butt muscle like it's a grapefruit jostyling around in each cheek.

I did get up this morning though I'll admit that I hit the snooze once. We got 3-4 inches of snow last night so I woke up my husband so he could plow us out. (It was with sadistic glee that I got him out of bed.) It was Cardio X this morning and my legs were like lead. I keep telling myself that it is worth it and i'll look really good this spring! I still couldn't keep up with anyone in the video but I just kept moving my body. That's the key I think. I kept focusing on the recovery drink that I love!

Day 1

I was up at 6 this morning to start my 2nd round. I'm doing the Lean program and it starts with Core Synergistics. It was Hell with a capital "H." I'm not sure where my stomach muscles went but they are gone. Plus last night, the lactic acid was forming in my back side and thighs from "Legs and Back". It wasn't much better this morning. Whoever thought it was a good idea to do the whole workout was insane. Maybe I should be committed? I couldn't keep up with anyone in the video this morning but I kept moving the whole time. Felt sick by the end.

Other than that, I feel great! I weighed in at 128.5 which is high for me but my pants still fit. I'm hoping I can get that back down. The real test will be to see if I can continue to get up in the morning as I'm not much of a morning person.

Day 0

I'm 5'6" and about 127lbs. I finished a round of P90X a month ago and loved the results. I even gave up alcohol for those 90 days to show that I was serious about getting results. After the 90 days, my husband and I were not quite sure what to do. We decided to stick to the eating plan but we added back wine and an occasional indulgence meal. We also decided to do 30 minutes each night instead of the entire program. This worked for about a week and we quickly fell off the wagon. Workouts started happening maybe every 3 days and butter had found it's way back into my life.

We went out to eat for a Christmas work party and my brand new size 2 jeans (previously size 6/8) were starting to get tight. And I couldn't blame it on the dryer. Today we did the full Legs and Back program and I could barely make it through. I decided at that point to start back on the program. I choose to do the lean this time around as I felt this might get me closer to the 6 pack than the classic.

Wish me luck!
